I bought a Dell OptiPlex XE2 with a Win7 Pro key included. The preinstalled OS was Win7 x64.

However, I need to have Win7 x86 installed in order to work with some legacy application. So I downloaded the ISO and installed it on the PC. After installation, I tried to activate my OS but this fails with the following error: 0xC004E003. I tried activation via cmd but this didn't work either. (slmgr.vbs) I contacted Dell support and they cannot fix this remotely and ask to pickup this PC which will take ages. I only have a Win10 Pro CD included with the PC. (Already installed on your computer) Also tried creating recovery media.

However, I have only 2 options:. Win7 SP1 Pro x64. Win10 Pro x64 I need to x86 version which is apparantly not available. Anyone could help me out? On internet, I see solutions like active Windows by Phone.
