It is 4 years old and I figured adding more memory would improve performance and extend service life. Start up was taking a little longer and web pages were starting to take longer to load. Installing the additional memory was easy.

I read the instruction on the internet and also watched a video prior to installation and it was a breeze. Start up performance has improved but not as much as I was expecting.

However, system performance improved dratmatically! Programs open promptly and web pages load quickly. Almost no waiting. I contacted Crucial Tech support and worked through problem with Steven. He was very helpful.

We found that each module checked good in one of the ports, but not the other. He suggested that good results were had with previous calls if the problem port's card was given a little extra leveraged push in AFTER the slot was clipped back into locked position (I leveraged it further in with jewellers screwdriver). That solved it. It had been working fine since.

Order arrived very quickly, it was super easy to install, my computer is so much faster than it used to be and I'm hoping I have staved off the need to buy a new computer for a couple of year. I could not be happier. Is this the best of product of its kind in the market - I have no idea. But for my purposes I'm delighted and have already recommended to others.
